St. Xavier, the top-ranked team in the Cincinnati Division I coaches’ poll and AP Ohio state poll, has added another high ranking to their list of accomplishments.

The Bombers (3-0) cracked the USA Today Super 25 national poll at No. 22.  St. Xavier is also ranked No. 3 in the Midwest.  It is the Bombers first appearance in the USA Today Super 25 poll since 2001.

Colerain (2-1), preseason No. 13, re-enters the poll this week after impressive back to back wins over defending state champions.  Two weeks ago Colerain defeated Kentucky Class 3A champ Highlands 45-14 and last week posted a  27-12 win over Texas Class 5A champ Tyler Robert E. Lee.  The Cardinals are ranked No. 24 and No. 5 in the Midwest.

St. Xavier defeated Colerain 7-0 in the first game of the regular season.
