i-wireless Football Tour Schedule Released For The 2007 Season

Nine playoff teams, five Cincinnati leagues and two Northern Kentucky powers featured

The 2007 i-wireless Football Tour schedule has been released and features nine playoff teams from a year ago along with five different Cincinnati leagues and one big Northern Kentucky match-up.

Northern Kentucky powerhouses Highlands and Ryle collide in the season opener on Aug. 24 at Ryle High School.  The Raiders are coming off a 2006 season that was their best in school history, advancing all the way to the Class 4A state title game.  Perennial powerhouse Highlands advanced to the second round of the Class 3A playoffs.

The first Friday in September features a small-school clash of titans as Division II Turpin travels to Division III Indian Hill in a Fort Ancient Valley Conference vs. Cincinnati Hills League battle.  The Spartans advanced to the Ohio Division II state semifinals last year for the first time in school history while the Braves completed their second straight 10-0 regular season before getting upset in the playoffs.

Big schools from power conferences take center stage the next two weeks as Elder visits La Salle in a Greater Catholic League South Division clash followed by a Greater Miami Conference game between Hamilton and host Princeton.  Cincinnati Country Day vs. Summit Country Day closes out the month of September in a Miami Valley Conference small-school battle.

Key conference games highlight the October portion of the schedule.  GMC stalwarts Colerain and Lakota West clash early in the month followed by CHL rivals Wyoming and Reading.  Both games could very likely be a battle for first place.

Fairfield visits Oak Hills in a GMC battle and the schedule closes out with another key CHL game between Mariemont and Deer Park.

Be a part of the action with live broadcasts from ABC Channel 9 television with sports reporter Mike Mattingly and Q102 radio.  Both will be on-site before and during the game.
